Helen Redmond

Helen Redmond is an expert in substance use and has more than a decade of experience working with drug users and people with mental health problems in both mental health settings as well as in community supportive housing.

Her work focuses on smokers from vulnerable and stigmatized populations. Currently, she is facilitating a vaping support group at New York Harm Reduction Educators.

Redmond provides tobacco harm reduction workshops via her consulting firm, Nicotine Harm Reduction Consultants.

She is an independent journalist and writes about vaping and mental health. Redmond is a documentary filmmaker and made a short documentary about people with serious psychiatric diagnoses and smoking.

She is an adjunct faculty member at the New York University Silver School of Social Work.
